A Life-Long Process
Goals of religious growth and learning at First Parish center on the experience of personal theology, the practice of mutual support, and the articulation of a Unitarian Universalist identity. In support of these goals, we seek to provide programs that, from our earliest years to our last, engage all of us in explorations of faith, worship, study, and relationships. We work together to provide each other with an environment of trust, safety, tolerance, and encouragement as we shape our beliefs, celebrate our discoveries, and live our values.
Sunday School
Adult Programs
A variety of classes and other programs is sponsored by the Adult Programs Committee, a subcommittee of the Religious Growth and Learning Committee:
Youth Programs
On most Sunday evenings, the 6th grade youth group, the junior youth group (grades 7-8), and the senior youth group (grades 9-12) meet at the church from 7-9 p.m. Youth leadership for these groups is nurtured and empowered by trained volunteer adult advisors.
Nursery
For parents with young children, our nursery is available during the Sunday morning service. It is a welcoming place where a paid nursery attendant and volunteers provide play opportunities in a nurturing environment. |
